Technology: Emulsion
What Is NGB Biofuel
NGB Biofuel is a precision blended product made from any number of new or recycled vegetable oil or animal fat feedstock's without using a complicated chemical reaction and without producing by-products. Our biofuels provide superior environmental and technical performance at a lower cost than traditional first generation biofuels and petroleum distillates.
Our Goals
New Generation Biofuels is passionate about providing our clients with quality biofuel solutions. As a means of reducing the emission of greenhouse gases; as a path to more sustainable, renewable energy resources; or as a means of enhancing national energy security; regardless of your goal New Generation Biofuels can help you meet your renewable fuel objectives.
Technology
New Generation Biofuels is commercializing a patent-pending process to economically produce a renewable biofuel that can be used as a replacement for diesel, #2 heating oil, kerosene and other fuel oils;
The process consists of a simple, precise, additive blending process in an emulsion to manage the properties of vegetable oil at the point of combustion.
Key Technology Advantages
- Simpler production process which substantially lowers capital and production costs more than most biofuels
- NGB's biofuel is an emulsion of vegetable oil or animal fat feedstocks, water and proprietary additives
- No blending required with other fuels, simply use 100% NGB biofuel
- Pour point <0 degrees F
- Stable Emulsion with no separation
- Stability evident in tests performed over a two year period
- Small plant footprint
- NGB's facilities can be situated on sites as small as 5,000 sq. ft.
- Location can leverage existing storage and transportation infrastructure
- Emulsion process affords feedstock flexibility:
- Fuel can be produced from a wide variety of commercially available vegetable oils and animal fats
- Exciting new feedstock's on the horizon (such as jatropha and algae oils) will also be compatible with our technology
- No significant by-products, wastes, emissions or discharges, so "Btu yield" is greater
